How to fix my wi-fi problem on my new android tablet?

I recently got a android tablet for christmas.But for the last 4 days my wi-fi says that its “dis-connected”.Any ideas how to fix this problem????

    I’m not sure your experience level with wi-fi, but I’m assuming you do have a wireless router in your home or you are in a building that has wi-fi….correct?

    And if you are…is it password protected?

    Sometimes I need to turn off my wireless router and then back on again for it to work…some routers are temperamental.
