Tablet PCs that run GPS Offline?

I was in the market for a Tablet PC either Android or Apple doesn’t matter much to me, and I was just wondering which ones out there that are reasonably priced and can be used like a GPS unit but offline. I don’t want a 3G unit or something that requires a internet connection. Does any one own or know which tablets will do this? Thanks!

well here is the problem with that, if its not connected to the internet it cant really be a GPS it has to no where you are and where your going to be able to be used as such you can use google maps offline but not for pin point directions just simple map viewing and even that’s not the greatest the problem is that to load all those maps all the streets and just everything like that would take up so much room so that’s why they connect to the internet because then they don’t have to store all that on your phone the will store it on there data base and just show it on your phone. and again it cant work as a gps unless it can tell where you are after all that being said there is one choice i can think of for you its called archos 5 internet tablet (don’t stop reading just because of the name) there is an option to buy the GPS on it now its a 1 time fee of i think 20bucks and that will work as a GPS pretty good to, there is no monthly data charge its just a built in GPS unit it will still connect to a Satellite but you wont be charged for that i had one awhile back didn’t much like the archos 5 so much but had some nice features to it. hope this helps
