Will a tablet running Android run MS Word?

I am thinking about buying a tablet for my wife. I got her to like the ASUS Transformer but I don’t know if Word (specifically) will run on an Android tablet.

    No, unfortunately not natively. You could install the Wyse app on the Android device and then use it to remote desktop to your computer which runs Word.

      No Microsoft spends more money making sure there is no compatibility with other OS, rather then making it a better program. There is a near identical program for Ubuntu, Android(Maybe), and other flavors of Linux. Its called Libreoffice. if you want it go to http://www.libreoffice.org/ its identical to Word2008.

        There are no Microsoft apps for Android other than Bing (that I know of). Certainly not office.

        On the other hand, you can buy “Documents to Go” which will let you open and edit MS Office files on Android. (View only in the free version, pay to edit)
